Jessica Holfert is the founder of Be Still & Know and co-creator of Be Still & Know: Foundations for the Future. As a Chief of Staff, community builder and leader who operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, she has seen firsthand how many capable young people enter adulthood without the practical skills and confidence they need to thrive. She started this course because she believes preparation builds freedom. Too many students graduate without understanding money, communication, workplace expectations or personal discipline, the very things that determine long-term success. Foundations for the Future was created to close that gap and equip the next generation with clarity, structure and direction so they can step confidently into who they are called to become. But this course wasn’t built by Jessica alone. She created it alongside her son, Kaemon Holfert, the true catalyst behind the vision. Kaemon rejected the traditional school model and gravitated toward real-world experience, hands-on learning and practical application. As a military family, constant transition forced both of them to adapt quickly, think differently and learn how to thrive in new environments. Together, they designed this course from lived experience, blending structure with flexibility, discipline with independence and wisdom with action. Foundations for the Future is the result of a mother and son building something they wished had existed: practical preparation for real life.
